Dolphin Mammal Dolphins are under pressure from Japanese fishing fleets, which around every October hit the high seas and herd pods into killing coves using loud noise. Despite worldwide opposition, the slaughter continues with Japan claiming consumer demand and scientific research justify the atrocity.	Whale Mammal No marine species remains unaffected by human intervention, and the same holds true for whales. Though commercial whaling for the most part is no longer in practice, its impact on whale populations can still be seen today.
